How your heart feels in fall

This upcoming Sept. 23,2018 it is time again for the zenith of the sun to cross the equator. For all who live in the northern hemisphere, this equinox marks the beginning of autumn. The days become shorter, darker and colder. The weather change is not only a challenge for our immune system, but also influences our cardiovascular system.

This upcoming Sept. 23,2018 it is time again for the zenith of the sun to cross the equator. For all who live in the northern hemisphere, this equinox marks the beginning of autumn. The days become shorter, darker and colder. The weather change is not only a challenge for our immune system, but also influences our cardiovascular system. The cold weather intensifies vascular constriction, which may lead to an increased heart rate and blood pressure. Therefore, the number of cases of cardiovascular diseases such as stroke, angina pectoris, myocardial infarction and heart failure increases during the cold season. For these reasons, it is important to take good care of our hearts.
