After 424 days with the EXCOR® Active and the tireless efforts of the attending physicians, the unbelievable news came – Agnes’ heart had recovered under the EXCOR® Pediatric support and the system could be explanted.

Just a few weeks later, in August 2021, she was finally able to leave the hospital and return home.

In October she fully enjoyed her 3rd birthday - at home with her family and a wonderful birthday cake.
