Daniel is 10 months old when the diagnosis of dilated cardiomyopathy turns his world and that of his parents upside down. Supported by the EXCOR Pediatric, he, like every healthy child, gets to know his world by playing, laughing and since several weeks by walking. With the new EXCOR Active driving unit, he has now made another developmental leap and loves his newly won freedom. His parents are now able to move freely with him in the pram on the hospital grounds. A new highlight is the observation of buses, trucks and helicopters from the outdoor area of the hospital.
