The responsibilities and employment opportunities at Berlin Heart are many and varied. The bandwidth ranges from precision technicians within our hand-manufacture oriented production area, through various specialist and management positions in our various departments, to pediatric heart surgeons within our clinical department.
The following overview should provide you with an initial introduction to our individual business areas. All areas share a collegial working atmosphere. An atmosphere which is shaped by people who share a passion for our products.
We work together in our mission both to preserve the life of our patients and improve their quality of life. The activities can in many cases be complex and challenging. Nevertheless, one thing we do not want to dispense with is the satisfaction and joy that comes with exercising our activities responsibly.
The position of Area Sales Manager can be found within the Sales Department. They keep in close contact with our users, namely cardiac surgeons in clinics, and take care of the worldwide sales of our products.
Our Clinical Support Team is available 24/7 around the clock. Experts from nursing, cardiovascular and medical technology, as well as doctors are at the disposal of our users in hospitals and clinics at any time. The support extends from product training, through advisory support for implantations in the operating room, up until post-operative care.
Their expert knowledge in the application of our products also allows the medical colleagues to contribute to new and further developments of our products.
Development engineers from a wide range of disciplines work in this area. Interdisciplinary project teams from construction, fluid mechanics, and software and electronics development work on the new and further development of our products.
Innovations are created for our users and patients, taking into account complex technical relationships. A separate testing department provides support in each project phase by providing a development accompanying testing of the various technical solutions. Finally, our Product Care Department takes care of the products that are already available on the market.
Within our hand-manufacture oriented production area, precision technicians are primarily employed. Our products are produced under clean room conditions mainly by hand, so that tact and fine precision are particularly important in this area.
The associated pump systems are also manufactured and maintained by the company. The production is also accompanied by the Process Engineering Team. Each individual production step is defined and monitored by engineers and chemists. The entire flow of goods is controlled by our Logistics Team as well as our Production Control Team.
As a medical device company with products of the highest risk classes, this area has a central position in the company. This starts with our products, which are subjected to a 100% control within our quality assurance activities.
The staff of our Quality Management Department ensure the support and further development of our QM management system. Our products are used worldwide, having met a wide range of regulatory requirements. The worldwide approval of our products and the maintenance of existing approvals are handled by our Regulatory Affairs Department.
Three main strands channel together within our Marketing Department. The Product Management & Business Development, Marketing Communication, and Technical Editing Team.
Product management is the key interface between technical sales on the one hand and research & development on the other. It steers the entire product life cycle from the requirements analysis, through the product creation process, right up until the market launch.
The Marketing Communications Team is responsible for customer and corporate communication. The marketing activities here are very scientifically and clinically oriented. A scientifically founded marketing also characterizes the maintenance of our corporate image as well as the brand design of our company.
Translations, manuals and various technical documentation are produced by the Technical Editing Team.
All our financial figures channel together within the financial departments in Controlling and Accounting . This is where central corporate planning and reporting takes place.
The employees of the IT departments provide the technical support for a smoothly functioning EDP. Our Administration also includes the Purchasing, Office Management and Human Resources Department.
Collecting first professional experience in an industrial environment is possible with us in almost all areas. We regularly offer Bachelor or Master theses mainly in the technical field.
